This quote states perfectly how I feel about this work, why I put in the long hours painting from life. To share what I love and why I am drawn to the Michigan landscape through plein air painting. I am discovering new things about the land and about myself as an artist and look forward to the continued challenge of capturing the changing light...always the changing light!
With my Fine Art degree and a desire, I strive to make the most of this blessing from God to pursue the desire of my heart at this late stage in my life. With the support of my husband, Don, and mentoring from my friend and Master Pastlist William Hosner, I feel I'm in a fabulous place.
My education continues with workshops in landscape and figure as well as studying the work of the Masters. My work can be found on my website at www.lpondpastels.com.
